Having reviewed the company’s long term objectives, it was felt that a diversification into commercial property would dovetail well with the existing residential side of the business. In 1999 the first property at 9/11 Gervis Place, Bournemouth was purchased. The building contained a large double shop front on the ground floor, with four floors of office space above. Recently it was felt that to maximise its investment potential it would be prudent to convert the offices into fourteen residential apartments. This work has subsequently been completed and the apartments rented out. In recent years the company has gone on to purchase further properties in Winchester and Lymington, and then most recently an offi ce block in Oxford Road, Bournemouth. This building was attractive due to its location within arguably the premier road for office space within Bournemouth and the surrounding area. The intention is to build on this property portfolio when the appropriate investment opportunities arise, to produce long term investment coupled with strong rental returns
